Dear Learner,

As it has been decided to conduct the Term-end Practical Examination, June, 2012 for CIT, BCA and MCA programmes as per the date-sheet given below, you are requested to contact your Regional Director for getting the information related to the batch and time etc. In order to be eligible for appearing at the practical examination the students are required to have 70% attendance in MCSL-016, 017, 025, 036, 045 and 054 and 75% attendance in the rest of the lab courses. In the case of CIT candidates, those who have attended atleast 12 out of 18 practical counseling sessions in CITL-001 are only eligible to appear for the Term-end Practical Examination.

IGNOU has issued the Time Table/Date Sheet of CIT, BCA & MCA Term-End Practical Examination of December 2011. As it has been decided to conduct the Term-end Practical Examination, December, 2011 for CIT, BCA and MCA programmes as per the date-sheet given below, you are requested to contact your Regional Director for getting the information related to the batch and time etc. In order to be eligible for appearing at the practical examination the students are required to have 70% attendance in MCSL-016, 017, 025, 036, 045 and 054 and 75% attendance in the rest of the lab courses. Software you'll need for pursuing BCA from IGNOU

What software will you need for pursuing BCA course from IGNOU? This is a very important question to ask. While pursuing BCA from IGNOU you will be taught the following software and operating Systems (OS). After completing BCA you should be the master of the following software.

First Semester: Microsoft Windows as your operating System and Microsoft office (MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint any version will do but stick to the one that your Study Center uses.)

Second Semester: Borland Turbo C++ 4.5 (not specifically this one because you only need to compile and run program you should also practice on DOS version of Turbo C++ as you never know what software your exam center has installed into its systems)

Third Semester: UNIX Operating System (There are many like Ubuntu, Fedora and OpenSuSE. You should always use the one that your study center uses.)

Fourth Semester: Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and Microsoft Office Access 2003 or higher.

Fifth Semester: Any UNIX based Operating System

Sixth Semester: Borland Turbo C++ 4.5 and javac.
